Privacy policy

Privacy is the core promise of Interruptr, so this page is written to be read. It covers this website and the waitlist. We'll add the Android app's full policy before the app is released, and it will keep the same rules described below.

Who we are

Interruptr is a product of CREWU LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15835707), registered office 53 Edale Road, Nottingham, NG2 4HT, England. CREWU LTD is the controller of your data. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

What the waitlist collects

• Your email address.
• Your phone type (Android or iPhone), if you choose to tell us.
• Which form you used and when you signed up.
• Your answer to our optional question, if you give one. Because it's about something personal, we only store it with your explicit consent, which you give when you send it. It's saved with your signup so we can learn from it and occasionally ask you a follow-up. It's never shared, published or used for advertising.

We use this to confirm your signup, invite you to the beta, tell you about the launch and learn what to build. We never sell it or share it with advertisers.

We process it because you asked us to: you signed up and confirmed by email (your consent). You can withdraw that consent at any time.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 30 days. If Interruptr never launches, we delete the whole list. Your answer to our question is deleted together with your signup, and you can ask us to delete just the answer at any time.

Where it's stored

Signups are stored in a database run on Cloudflare. Confirmation emails are sent through our email provider. Both process the data only to provide that service to us.

Where your data is processed

Cloudflare and our email provider may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics that don't use cookies and don't track you across sites. We see totals, like page views and where visitors came from, never individual people. That's why there's no cookie banner.

The Android app, in short

• Anything you type or search is checked on your phone and discarded. It is never stored or uploaded.
• The camera counts pushups on the device. Nothing is recorded or sent.
• Only outcomes leave your phone: an attempt count, a timestamp and whether protection is on.
• A partner is optional. If you add one, they see counts and status only, never searches, sites or screenshots.
• The app never hides itself. While it's on, it always shows a notification.

Your choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link. To see, export or delete your data, email [email protected] and we'll do it within 30 days.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Age

Interruptr is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll email the waitlist before it takes effect.
